And Jace, I had an apartment next to a coffee bar with live music... and they always left their back door open... which same back door was separated from my bedroom window by only and empty lot. And then my cat went into heat. It was at that point that I realized that the world was not going to change for me, and so started wearing earplugs.

After working a graveyard shift and coming home there was more than one occasion I was seriously going to beat members of the landscaping crew with their f&*%ing leaf-blowers.
